RecOps Symposium dinner in Leeds
Last week we ran another RecOps Symposium dinner in Leeds. Small group, good food, honest conversation. The topic was simple: how to go to the board, ask for money and actually walk out with a yes. No slides. No agenda. Just people sharing what has worked for them and what has blown up in their face. A few things came up again and again: • Boards don’t care about the tech, they care about the outcome • Most pitches fail because they’re too complicated • Showing the cost of doing nothing lands harder than any benefits section • The best pitches are always the simplest ones Great mix of perspectives and zero ego.
